The Nest

The Lansing Nest, at 332 Townsend St. in downtown Lansing, describes itself as "a day-to-night shelter and resource hub where people can land, grow, and move forward," with a "special focus on veterans, single fathers, families with teens, and other groups underserved by traditional shelter systems."

Our support

2026: unconditional support to help open the new shelter, which carries forward the work of New Hope Community Center, the Holy Cross Services shelter in Lansing that was closing.

The Nest continues New Hope's critical services in a new building: a day center, case management, family shelter rooms, and beds for veterans. Lansing is where our family grew up, and it remains a community we care about deeply and that continues to need strong support.
