Manna Food Project

As the only food bank serving Antrim, Charlevoix, and Emmet counties, Manna Food Project works with "over 90 local partners and community members" to deliver "more than 1.8 million pounds of food annually," serving neighbors "with dignity and respect." One in seven people in these communities experience food insecurity. Over the past four years, Manna has seen "a 67% increase in people served," "a 36% increase in visits from seniors," and "a 98% increase in children served."

Our support

2026: a capital grant to support a new facility

The new facility will "offer more than triple the square footage of our current facility, including three times as much storage for dry and cold foods," and will move Manna to "a grocery store style food pantry model so that our guests can select their own free groceries at a time that works best for them, including evenings and weekends." It will also provide "space for community resource agencies and expanded cooking and nutrition classes."

In recognition of our support, the foundation's name will be linked to the Community Hub Office, a shared office inside the new pantry where partner organizations will come to provide support to individuals visiting Manna.
